It was a privilege to be able to host Tony Bolton, Instructor in Auto Body Repair from Bevill State Community College in Alabama for a 3 day metal shaping/welding training class here at our shop.
He came to us with the desire to learn about metal shaping using hand tools, pattern making, templates, shrinking, stretching, using the english wheel, planishing hammer, bead roller, TIG welding and pretty much just pick our brain in all aspects of the trade.
Our hope is to be able to get the word out to community colleges all over the south about the art of metal shaping to the younger generation, to build their skills, passing on the techniques we have been using for years.
